Top well-being retailers named
The Entertainer, The Body Shop, and Clarks have been named as some of the top retailers for well-being at work by employment website Indeed.
The brand’s Better Work Awards, which this year focuses on the top companies for work well-being, are based on the world’s largest study of the category as well as insights from workers who rate and review their employer on Indeed each year.
The companies are ranked by a score out of 100 with the winners determined upon how they fared over the past year in the four key areas of happiness, purpose, satisfaction and stress management.
Companies need to have gained at least 100 unique ratings to be considered for the job company’s awards.
Toy retailer The Entertainer was ranked in second place overall with a work well-being score of 75, while The Body Shop was third with a score of 71. Shoe brand Clarks came in fifth place after gaining a score of 70. John Lewis & Partners also landed in the top ten, with a score of 69.
Care home company Kingsley Healthcare gained the top spot in the website’s awards overall, while telecommunications company Kelly Group was in fourth place.
Director of the well-being research centre at Oxford University, Jan-Emmanuel De Neve, pointed out that the majority of this year’s UK winners were “either in healthcare or retail".
