ECR Shrink & OSA Group meeting, Helsinki
Each year, for the last 15, the ECR group meets at least three times annually face to face, to discuss research projects, facilitate round table discussions and to benchmark.
The group and these meetings are free to members, and in May, S Group were the hosts. The three highlights from this very well attended meeting were:
Firstly a deep immersion in the S Group business which included; the opportunity to hear from senior executives on the S Group strategy, a physical tour of their distribution centre, a visit to their hyper market banner, Prisma, presentations on their latest thinking on dashboards, security guarding and digital store audits and finally, a group feedback session, on what, through the loss prevention lens, inspired the group, and what the group saw as opportunities.
The second highlight was a round table discussion on store communications, and the healthy discussion that ensued as to how key communications related to how loss prevention can “cut through” the clutter and tsunami of communication arriving at the stores every day.
Finally, the last highlight would be the case study presentation from Tesco and Wrigley’s, proving how their collaboration on shrink not only increased sales and reduced losses, but also changed their way of working.
The full minutes of the meeting are available on the ECR website, to see them and the presentations, simply register on the site and then get access to these plus the complete research library. http://ecr-shrink-group.com/
