The Summit, to be held at Friends House, 173-177 Euston Road, London, NW1 2BJ between 09:30 and 16:00 on Thursday 25th April 2019 – will represent a wide range of businesses across retail, security, as well as senior police, London and local authority leaders, community safety partners and community representatives.
The event will present and explore good practice in relation to preventing and responding to serious incidents of violence within business premises and within this to look at how to support the principles for safe havens.
The structure and content for the summit will ensure that tackling violence is a priority for all organisations at the highest level through the forging of collective leadership and genuine partnership and will consider the critical role and impact of violence within small and large businesses
During the afternoon session, the summit will set out the critical elements of a local partnership plan to tackling violence
The objective is for delegates to leave the meeting with improved partnership mobilisation and greater knowledge of available interventions
The Summit will also draw upon the discussions on the day and good practice provided by attendees to develop an online Business Community Public Safety Toolkit that will be a resource for use and further development by business practitioners.
